Raya Season Campaign

Terms and Conditions

1. Raya Season (“Campaign”) is organised by Liberty General Insurance Berhad (formerly known as AmGeneral Insurance Berhad) (“LGIB”).

2. The Customer shall read and understand these Terms and Conditions before participating.

  

Campaign Period

3. The Campaign shall commence from 12 March 2024 to 31 May 2024, both dates inclusive unless notified otherwise (“Campaign Period”).

4. LGIB reserves the right to terminate the Campaign at any time without prior notice.

  

Eligibility

1. The Campaign is open to all new and existing customers who purchase any of the eligible Motor Insurance Products and Non-Motor Insurance Products per Clause 5 below(“the Participants”)from LGIB or through any of LGIB’s authorised intermediaries including AmBank and UOB Bank branches or authorised dealerships.

2. Employees of LGIB are not eligible to participate in this Campaign.

3. This Campaign applies to new or renewal of policies from Liberty, Kurnia and AmAssurance brand’s Motor and Non-Motor Insurance Products issued by LGIB and the insurance premium of which is fully paid for the said policies during the Campaign Period, will automatically be eligible for entry into the Campaign:

  • Motor Insurance Products, subject to a minimum premium of RM1,000;
  • Non-Motor Insurance Products, subject to a minimum premium of RM200.

4. Any policy issued after the Campaign Period has ended is not eligible for the Campaign.

5. The list of eligible Motor Insurance Products:

  • InsureMyTesla

All Non-Motor Insurance Products are eligible, subject to a minimum premium of RM200.

  

Shortlisting and selection of Winners

6. The selection of Consolation Prizes winners will be based on the total policies received at the end of the following week (“Campaign Weekly Selection”) during the Campaign Period:

Campaign Weekly Selection 1: 12 - 18 March 2024;

Campaign Weekly Selection 2: 19 - 25 March 2024;

Campaign Weekly Selection 3: 26 March – 1 April 2024;

Campaign Weekly Selection 4: 2 – 8 April 2024;

Campaign Weekly Selection 5: 9 – 15 April 2024;

Campaign Weekly Selection 6: 16 – 22 April 2024;

Campaign Weekly Selection 7: 23 – 29 April 2024;

Campaign Weekly Selection 8: 30 – 6 May 2024;

Campaign Weekly Selection 9: 7 – 13 May 2024;

Campaign Weekly Selection 10: 14 – 20 May 2024;

Campaign Weekly Selection 11: 21 – 31 May 2024;

7. The Grand Prizes winners selection will take place after the end of Campaign Period. The selection of Grand Prizes winners (“Campaign Grand Prize Selection”) will be based on the total policies received during the Campaign Period.

8. Each policy entitles the Participant to one (1) entry in the Campaign. Once a policy or a Participant has won a prize, the policy or the Participant will no longer be eligible to be part of subsequent draws.

9. All entries are sorted randomly and the total number of entries are divided by 20, rounded down to the nearest whole number to get the shortlisted entries (i.e. 6,000 entries divided by 20 equals to 300, resulting in every 300th entry to be shortlisted: 300th, 600th, 900th, …, 5,700th, 6,000th).

10. The first twenty (20) Participants who are shortlisted based on the total number of entries during each Campaign Weekly Selection as per Clause 6 above shall be shortlisted as the winners for the Consolation Weekly Prizes (“Shortlisted Winners”) and will be required to perform the following steps to win the Consolation Prizes:

  • Verify their identity; and
  • Answer a simple question related to this Campaign correctly.

11. The first five (5) Participants who are shortlisted based on the total number of entries during the Campaign Grand Prize Selection per Clause 7 shall be shortlisted as the winners for the Grand Prizes (“Shortlisted Winners”) and will be required to perform the following steps to win the Grand Prizes:

  • Verify their identity; and
  • Answer a simple question related to this Campaign correctly.

12. The Shortlisted Winners will be contacted by Liberty Quality Assurance and Training team based on the contact information provided during the policy submission process.

13. In the event LGIB is unable to contact the Shortlisted Winners after three (3) attempts (e.g. no reply, telephone number not in service, the answerer does not know the Shortlisted Winner) and/or failure of the Shortlisted Winner to answer the question correctly, LGIB reserves the right to replace Shortlisted Winner by shortlisting the next winner from the pool of total eligible Participants using the same process stated herein. LGIB shall not be held liable whatsoever in the event the Shortlisted Winner is not reachable for whatever reasons.

14. All Shortlisted Winners who have been verified and have answered the question correctly will be deemed as confirmed winners and will be entitled to receive the prize (each for Consolation Prizes or Grand Prizes respectively).

15. The confirmed winners will be announced and published on the Liberty and Kurnia Insurans Facebook page.

  

Prizes

16. The Prizes for this Campaign are:

17. LGIB reserves the right to substitute any prize with another prize of similar value. All confirmed winners are not allowed to exchange the prizes for cash.

18. The Grand Prize travel package is redeemable for air ticket, hotel accommodation, tour and travel package which is to be booked through the assigned travel agency. The travel package is valid for one (1) year from date of issuance and the confirmed winner must travel within the validity period of the travel package. There will be no time extension to the validity. Any additional cost exceeding the travel package amount will be borne by the confirmed winner, and unutilized amount of the package is non-refundable.

19. All prizes will be delivered to the confirmed winners within two (2) months of the confirmed winners’ announcement date per Clause 15 above.

20. All cost, fees and/or expenses incurred or to be incurred by the confirmed winners in relation to the Campaign and/or the claiming of the Prize, which shall include but not limited to the cost for transportations, accommodation, meals, personal costs and/or any other costs, are the sole responsibility of the Prize Winners.

21. Each confirmed winner shall provide accurate information of their mobile phone number and/or email address during the purchase of the Motor and Non-Motor Insurance Products per Clause 1 and 5 above to receive the Prize. LGIB shall not be liable for any loss, damage or claim suffered or incurred by the confirmed winners due to the receipt and/or redemption of Prize by any third party, if the confirmed winners decided to provide any third party’s phone number and/or email address.

22. The Consolation Prizes (“e-Vouchers”) will be delivered to the confirmed winners in the form of SMS or to their email address registered with LGIB during the purchase of insurance products.

23. LGIB shall not be responsible for the activation of the e-Vouchers once it has been disbursed to the confirmed winners.

24. The confirmed winners are responsible to redeem the e-Vouchers within the prescribed validity period of the e-Vouchers.

25. The RM100 Touch ‘n Go Reload PIN are non-transferable to any other party or parties and is not exchangeable for other items or vouchers in part or in full.

26. The Grand Prize is non-transferable to any other party or parties and is not exchangeable for cash or different prizes or reward of similar value or any other alternatives in any circumstances.

27. LGIB is not in any way endorsing, sanctioning, approving, or supporting the brand(s) or merchandise of the prizes. Any query and/or dispute on the usage of the prizes must be directed to and resolved directly with the respective vendors.

28. Venue and time of the prize giving will be announced from time to time. LGIB reserves the rights to postpone the predetermined date and venue of the prize giving ceremony to a later date, which shall be notified by LGIB to the confirmed winners in case of any unforeseen circumstance.

  

General Terms and Conditions of the Campaign

1. By participating in this campaign, the Customer will be deemed to have read, understood and agreed to be bound by the Terms and Conditions of this campaign as stated herein and any additional terms and conditions stipulated by LGIB including the decisions of in all matters related thereto (“Terms and Conditions”).

2. LGIB reserves the right to vary the terms and conditions of this Campaign at any time without giving prior notice and without incurring any liability.

3. Any cancellation, termination, withdrawal or suspension by LGIB of this Campaign will not entitle the Customer to any compensation from LGIB for any and all loss or damage that may be suffered or incurred by the Customer as a direct or indirect result of the act of cancellation, termination, withdrawal or suspension.

4. LGIB reserves the right (at its own discretion) to disqualify any confirmed winner and/or withhold or confiscate the prizes if the policy is found to be cancelled prior to the disbursement of prizes.

5. LGIB’s determination of all matters relating to this Campaign shall be final and conclusive. In the event of any inconsistency between these Terms and Conditions and any marketing or promotional materials relating to this Campaign, these Terms and Conditions shall prevail.

6. Where LGIB suspects any Customer is committing any form of unlawful and/or fraudulent activity for the purpose of participating in the Campaign, LGIB reserve the right to report such activity or suspicion to the police or relevant authorities.

7. LGIB would like to alert the Customer to take reasonable precautions when receiving any phone calls and messages requesting for their personal information during and/or after the Campaign. LGIB would also like to advise our valued Customers to call our Liberty Quality Assurance and Training team for verification regarding the Campaign.

8. By participating in this Campaign, the Customer hereby gives consent for their personal data and/or information to be processed in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act (“PDPA”) 2010.
