Ready & Steady Tugether Campaign

Terms and Conditions

1. Chinese New Year Drive Safe and Win (“Campaign”) is organised by AmGeneral Insurance Berhad (“AmGeneral”).

2. The Campaign shall commence from 18th January 2023 to 8th February 2023, both dates inclusive unless notified otherwise (“Campaign Period”). AmGeneral reserves the right to terminate the Campaign at any time without prior notice.


Eligibility and Winning Criteria

3. You will be eligible to participate in this Campaign provided the criteria below are fulfilled:

  1. Any Malaysian with a valid driving license;
  2. Download the Kurnia or AmAssurance One Touch App (“App”); and
  3. Users are required to achieve a minimum of 888 points by playing the “Drive Safe” feature available on the App during the campaign period.

4. Once qualified, the top 91 scorers (888 points and above and based on the highest points to lowest) will be selected to be awarded prizes accordingly:

5. In the event of a tie, winners for the various prize tiers will be selected based on the fastest time taken to achieve the score.

6. AmBank Group and AmGeneral employees are not eligible to participate in this Campaign.

7. In the event AmGeneral is unable to contact the Shortlisted Winners after three (3) attempts (e.g. no reply, telephone number not in service, the answerer does not know the Shortlisted Winner) and/or failure of the Shortlisted Winner to answer the question correctly, AmGeneral reserves the right to replace Shortlisted Winner by shortlisting the next winner from the pool of total eligible Participants using the same process stated herein. AmGeneral shall not be held liable whatsoever in the event the Shortlisted Winner is not reachable for whatever reasons.


How to Earn Points

8. Users are required to collect points when driving by following the criteria below:

  1. Launch the Kurnia OR AmAssurance One Touch App and select “Drive Safe”.
  2. Make sure that your GPS locator is active when you start and end the game.
  3. Tap on the “Start” button when you start driving. The App will automatically track your journey in the background. Tap on the “Stop” bar once you have ended your trip.
  4. To earn points, the minimum average speed is 10km/h and at least 1km of distance covered.
  5. Every 1 km will be awarded with 1 point.
  6. The App would stop running if you make or answer phone calls during your drive.
  7. You will receive Bonus Points if you follow the average speed limit. However, if you drive above the speed limit, Penalty Points will be deducted from the total points.

Campaign Prizes

9. Eligible winners will only be entitled to ONE (1) e-wallet credits per registered user, based on the winning criteria and tiers below. Total e-wallet credits giveaway is capped as per table below, throughout the entire campaign period.

10. Eligible winners will be announced thirty (30) working days after the campaign ends via Kurnia Facebook Page.

11. The e-wallet credits will be delivered to eligible winners in the form of SMS to their mobile phones or to their email address registered with AmGeneral during the registration of the Kurnia One Touch App within one (1) month of the winner’s announcement date.

12. Selected winners will be contacted by our Contact Centre’s Service Team to confirm on the identity and the point’s verification by emailing the screen shot of their 1st page of the App screen to our Contact Center Team.

13. The selected winner is responsible to ensure that they have provided accurate information of their full name, mobile phone number and/or email address to receive the e-wallet credits. Should the confirmed winner decide to provide a third party’s phone number and/or email address, AmGeneral will not be liable for the receipt of e-wallet credits via the third party.

14. AmGeneral reserves the right, as deemed fit, to substitute the prizes with another product of similar value without prior notice.

15. All prizes are not transferable, nor exchangeable for cash or credit or kind whether in part or in full.


Other General Terms and Conditions of the Campaign

16. By participating in this campaign, all Participants will be deemed to have read, understood and agreed to be bound by the Terms and Conditions of this campaign as stated herein and any additional terms and conditions stipulated by AmGeneral including the decisions of in all matters related thereto (“Terms and Conditions”).

17. AmGeneral reserves the right (at its own discretion) to disqualify any participant and/or withhold or confiscate in full or part the prizes if the participant is found to be or reasonably suspected of participating in any form of fraudulent practices (including but not limited to false identities, doctoring images, wilful spamming or manipulation of any AmGeneral’s processes, or website).

18. Where we suspect a participant is participating in any form of unlawful and/or fraudulent activity, we reserve the right to report such activity or suspicion to the police or relevant authorities.

19. AmGeneral reserves the right to vary the terms and conditions of this Campaign without any prior notice. AmGeneral may withdraw or discontinue the Campaign at any time without giving prior notice and without incurring any liability.

20. AmGeneral reserves the right to change the Campaign Period and/or Disbursement Period if the launch of the Campaign is delayed and shall have no liability for the same.

21. Any cancellation, termination, withdrawal, or suspension by AmGeneral of this Campaign will not entitle participants to any compensation against AmGeneral for any and all loss or damage that may be suffered or incurred by the participant as a direct or indirect result of the act of cancellation, termination, withdrawal or suspension.

22. AmGeneral’s determination of all matters relating to this Campaign shall be final and conclusive and in the event of any inconsistency between these Campaign Terms and Conditions and any marketing or promotional materials relating to this Campaign, these Campaign Terms and Conditions shall prevail.

23. AmGeneral would like to alert the Participants to take reasonable precautions when receiving any phone calls and messages requesting for your personal information during and/or after the Campaign. AmGeneral would also like to advise our valued Participants to call our Customer Centre for verification regarding the Campaign.

24. By participating in this Campaign, you hereby give consent for your personal data and/or information to be processed in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (“PDPA”). Please refer to our full Privacy Notice on or for further information.

26. Eligible winners who do not receive their prizes within the stipulated timeline are advised to contact. the same.

27. These Campaign terms and conditions are governed by and construed under the laws of Malaysia.
