Say hello to Kurnia Express, the first-of-its-kind claims service that offers insurance policyholders the fastest, most reliable and most efficient way ever to get immediate settlement for Own Damage Claims and Windscreen Damage claims.

Who’s Eligible?

For Private Car Own Damage Claims, only Kurnia Private Car Comprehensive Motor Insurance policyholders may apply.

For Windscreen Damage Claims, both Kurnia Private Car and Commercial Vehicle Comprehensive Motor Insurance policyholders with extended coverage for windscreens (Endorsement 89) may apply.

Making a Claim in 3 Easy Steps

With Kurnia Express, we want to make it really easy for Kurnia Comprehensive Motor Insurance policyholders to get their claims sorted out.

Here’s what you need to do:

 

OWN DAMAGE CLAIM

 

STEP 1: MAKE CONTACT

Contact Kurnia Auto Assist at 1800 88 3833 or call any of our Kurnia branches immediately if you’re involved in an accident.

 

STEP 2: LODGE A REPORT

Make sure you make a police report as soon as you can after your accident.

 

STEP 3: COME TO US

Bring your vehicle to your nearest Kurnia branch within 48 hours from the date of the accident with the following documents:

  • Copy of Your Vehicle Registration Card
  • Identity Card & Driving Licence of Vehicle Owner
  • Identity Card & Driving Licence of Driver (If Not the Same as Owner)
  • Police Report or Slip (with Police Report Number)

 

Please note that the vehicle owner and the driver (if they’re not the same person) must be present to sign the relevant documents.

 

Once your claim is approved, you will either receive a cheque or direct deposit into your bank account, up to a maximum amount of RM3,000 per claim.

 

WINDSCREEN DAMAGE CLAIM

For damaged windscreens, you may opt to conduct repairs or a complete replacement.

For repairs, the claim amount will be deducted from the initial sum insured for the windscreen. The balance sum insured will remain unless it is topped up by paying additional premiums.

For replacements, the windscreen benefit is immediately terminated upon making a claim unless you reinstate it by paying additional premiums.

 

STEP 1: TAKE PICTURES

Start by taking photographs of the damaged windscreen, including these three shots:

  • 1 close up view showing windscreen logo / brand
  • 1 full view of vehicle with registration number
  • 1 close up view clearly depicting the damaged windscreen area

 

STEP 2: GET IT FIXED

Send your windscreen for repair or replacement at any workshop of your choice.

 

STEP 3: COME TO US

Bring your vehicle with repaired or replaced windscreen to your nearest Kurnia branch within 14 days of the date of the accident with the following documents:

  • Copy of Your Vehicle Registration Card
  • Identity Card & Driving Licence of Vehicle Owner
  • Identity Card & Driving Licence of Driver (If Not the Same as Owner)
  • Official receipt on replacement or repair of windscreen
  • Photographs before repair

Please note that the vehicle owner and the driver (if they’re not the same person) must be present to sign the relevant documents.

Once your claim is approved, you will either receive a cheque or direct deposit into your bank account, up to a maximum amount of RM5,000 per claim.

 

Notes:

  • The decision to process and approve any claims are at the Company’s absolute discretion.
  • In the event of any discrepancies discovered subsequent to our approval that may render the claim non-payable, we reserve the right to retract the claim and / or to recover any payment already transferred under the claim directly from you.
  • Kurnia Insurans reserves the right to change any information provided under this programme without prior notice.

5 Other Things You May Need to Know About Kurnia Express

  1. You MUST make a police report for any Own Damage claims, but NOT for Windscreen claims.
  2. Making a windscreen claim does NOT affect your NCD (No Claims Discount)
  3. You have 48 hours to send your UNREPAIRED vehicle to a Kurnia branch for an Own Damage Claim, and 14 days to send your vehicle with REPAIRED or REPLACED windscreen for a Windscreen Damage claim.
  4. Your Kurnia Express claim will be processed and paid to you immediately once your car is surveyed at a Kurnia branch, provided full documentation is received.
